Concentric is an interactive sound and light installation featuring three towering nine-foot horns, reminiscent of mammoth tusks, converging toward a large water bowl set atop a pyramidal base. Participants are invited to vocalize into the horns, their sounds traveling inward toward a shared focal point. When harmony is achieved, the water responds with gentle undulations and ripples. When dissonance dominates, the surface remains still. Inspired by indigenous communal rituals, where voices and instruments are unified toward a common intention, the piece explores collective resonance as a pathway to connection, cooperation, and shared purpose.
