Trying Hard to Stay Balanced is a mechanical wall sculpture in which an exposed mechanism continually attempts to keep a white bar perfectly horizontal, yet never quite succeeds. The bar in an endless loop of effort and imperfection. The piece reflects a deeply human struggle, our constant attempts to find equilibrium in a world that rarely allows us to stay still for long.
