I have been creating digital art for many years and I have been asked to complete many types of projects for people. I have edited video, created 3d models, repaired and manipulated photographs, created graphics, web sites, and pretty much everything digital.

At a certain point, I realized that my passion for teaching was growing much stronger than my desire to make a buck. I decided that instead of doing the work for people, I could pass along the skills and practical knowledge that would empower them to create their own work and continue to actively seek out and discover the tools already at their disposal.

With my Intuitive Tutoring one-on-one sessions, you can learn to create stunning digital art in a stress free environment. These sessions take the pressure off and allow you to work at your own pace, creating what interests you.

Why call it intuitive....

I believe that when we are faced with a challenge, our minds attempt to seek the easiest solution. Learning should be the same way. Sitting through tutorials, trying to learn skills that won't be immediately and practically applied, is counter productive.

I believe in learning through doing. Absorbing and applying knowledge 'on the spot' as you are creating your projects. This way, the mind can develop a sort of muscle memory of these tasks by associating actions with images that you have created.

All tutoring sessions are one-on-one and focused on a specific project of your choosing, not a pre-made tutorial or textbook. We will discuss your specific project or idea before the lesson as well as discussing what digital art programs will best suit your needs. I will design a customized lesson plan based around that. Don't worry if you are unfamiliar with a program, we can work from the ground up to create a foundation for you to carry with you.

Tutoring sessions for non-students are $35 per hour
Student discount $25 per hour

Referral Program: Refer a friend for a lesson, you get 1 hour free.

My name is Adon Newman and I am an artist from Cleveland, Ohio. I am a graduate of OSU and hold a BFA in Art and Technology. Growing up, my family owned a bead and jewelry store in Cleveland, Ohio (actually, they still do) and I began teaching all types of jewelry and glass beadmaking techniques. As an undergrad at OSU, I was asked to T.A. for New Media Robotics, a robotics and electrical engineering class for artists. I was also asked to give several visiting artist lectures on advanced digital imaging techniques in Adobe After Effects and advanced 3d modeling techniques in Cinema 4d. I currently live in Santa Cruz, CA.

My passion for teaching has led me to start this tutoring project. I hope to help others recognize how their natural creative capabilities can benefit them in the world of computer art and design. I am honored to be able to pass along my knowledge and experience.
