Outside, Looking In is a meditative animation that entices the viewer into a realm where the two and three-dimensional worlds are in constant flux. Like being mesmerized by a leaf falling from a tree, seemingly in slow motion, or getting lost in the rhythmic pulsation of a tide sweeping onto a beach, this piece draws us away from our palpable, tactile realities. If we allow ourselves to, we can disconnect from the prescribed absoluteness of our visual experience and look inwards, into an existence of serene clarity. This artwork provides an unspoken interactivity with the viewer by inviting them take part in a moment of inner reflection through the outward visual experience of the piece.
